#frontporchproject Day 9
I love this, I love this, I love this.
Honestly, meeting you all and hearing your stories is just good for my soul.
These Special Two
Okay, can I just give a special shout out and send some extra love to all the couples who have had to postpone, cancel or otherwise rearrange their wedding plans?
#frontporchproject Day 8
Because we’re in this together.
It seems like everywhere these days we’re hearing the phrase “we’re in this together.”
#frontporchproject Day 7
Your enthusiasm for this little project has been infectious! Okay, maybe that was a terrible choice of words given, you know, the global pandemic, but it’s true. I can’t help but smile at all your responses.
#frontporchproject Day 6
I haven’t always been a photographer. In fact, my career path to get here has been quite the journey.
Momma’s Dress - Avery
I always thought I would be a boy mom but somehow I ended up with a daughter who is all lace and pink and princesses and I wouldn’t have it any other way. From the time she was little, I have dreamed of doing a session (or maybe sessions) of her in my wedding dress.
And that’s how my momma’s dress sessions were born.
#frontporchproject Day 4
I’ve said it before; I would have never anticipated the reaction to this project would be what it is. It’s not just the amount of people that are showing up on their front porch but it’s the joy and gratitude that people have when I show up.
Cake Smash & Splash - Hudson
One of the silver linings of this weird pandemic crisis and social isolation has been some time to get back to some personal photos that have been previously ignored….like my baby boy’s cake smash.
#frontporchproject Day 3
You read that right: Day 3.
The fun continues!! Another day of meeting neighbours in McKenzie Lake and seeing smiles.
#frontporchproject Day 2
So many that participated have expressed how this simple little act has made a big difference in their day…and isn’t that what we’re here for? In the midst of hard times, we do what we can. We band together. We recognize what’s important. We bring hope and joy and smiles.
#frontporchproject Day 1
When I decided to participate in the #frontporchproject, I had no idea what to expect. Is it a dumb idea? A fun idea? Is this something that can actually help people in such a weird season?
Turns out the answer is that it IS fun and it IS a bit of a bright spot during this covid pandemic.
Thank you to all health care personnel
THANK YOU & SPECIAL OFFER // As I stay hunkered down at home with my family, I can’t help but think of all the health care professionals who are on the front lines of this pandemic.
Covid-19 Response
As you are well aware, covid-19 is causing us all to stop and pay attention, making changes to how we’re doing our day to day life. The best recommendation we have to slow the spread of the pandemic is to self isolate. The recommendation is to not leave our homes except for essentials. Due to the nature of my sessions, I am making the difficult decision to suspend all personal sessions for the time being.
Sock Rocket - Product Session
If you know me, you know that I don’t like socks. #flipflopsforever That said, I have decided if I AM going to wear socks, they’re going to be:
1. comfortable.
2. fun
Ella - Cake Smash
My theory with cake smash photos is this: play, smash, make a mess and have fun. You have your whole life to be proper. Little Miss Ella took me at my word.
Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions
Oh, we had a blast. Sweet little ones, including my own, smiling, laughing, and celebrating a day for love and loved ones.
Luke - Cake Smash
It is 100% right, when your first birthday falls on Valentine’s Day, to do a Valentine’s themed cake smash complete with cupid wings, bow and arrow.
